Purpose in Practice: Community-Engaged Teaching Across the Curriculum
Overview
We invite you to join faculty from across the CSU for Purpose in Practice: Community-Engaged Teaching Across the Curriculum, a virtual faculty-to-faculty showcase highlighting practical and adaptable community-engaged teaching strategies across disciplines. This showcase features faculty recognized through the Community-Engaged Learning Tool (CELT) — More information about CELT here: CSU Community Engaged Learning Tool (CELT) v2 | CalState S4
In just 75 minutes, you’ll hear how faculty are:
· Integrating artificial intelligence (AI) for social good into community-engaged courses
· Addressing student wellbeing through reflective and sustainable practices
· Partnering with local organizations to advance civic learning and public impact
· Embedding community engagement across STEM, Business, Humanities, Health, Agriculture and Education
This is not a workshop or training — it’s a peer exchange designed to spark ideas you can adapt to your own courses.
April 17, 2026 11:30 am–12:45 pm
Whether you are new to community engaged teaching or refining an existing course, this session offers concrete examples you can implement right away.
We hope you’ll join the conversation.
