For the 2022 Holiday Season, San Francisco State University organized an SF State Holiday Toy Drive! The toys collected were donated to Oceanview, Merced, Ingleside (OMI), and Lakeview Holiday Toy Giveaway and Celebration. This festive annual community event brings in the joy of the holidays with food and activities for the entire family and provides the youth of all ages with holiday gifts. The SF State Toy Drive was organized by ICCE and the Office of the President.
Highlights
Special thank you to the SF State community who donated to the 2022 SF State Toy Drive. We were able to have over 275 gifts donated to the OMI/Lakeshore Toy Giveaway and Celebration on December 16, 2022. Many of the gifts were collected from the annual President Mahoney and the University Cabinet's End of the Year Celebration on December 15th.
ICCE and Child Adolescent Development Club members along with College Corp Fellows wrapped toys diligently over the course of three days and volunteered with our OMI / Lakeshore neighbors, serving over 1000 families that day! Also, a special shout-out to the SF State Undergraduate Recruitment team for the community swag and tabling.
