SF State’s Nomination to the Bay Area Jefferson Award for Public Service

The mission of the Jefferson Awards Foundation is to empower others to have maximum impact on the things they care about most.  Jefferson Awards encourage and provide tribute to individuals for their achievements and contributions through public and community service.

In January 2005, SF State’s Office of Community Service Learning (OSCL)* became one of 49 organizations in the Bay Area to join the prestigious Jefferson initiative. Through celebration, the Jefferson Awards Foundation inspires action; their programs and partnerships drive individuals to create change. Recipients are honored for impacting their communities proving that anyone can make a difference and be a hero. These individuals join the ranks of 60,000 local heroes that the Jefferson Awards Foundation has honored over the past 45 years. For more details and to apply, please see nomination form here.

*The OCSL merged with the SF Urban Insititute in AY 2006-2007 to form ICCE.
